Black Out

I'm all about pops of color and pattern mixing, but I also love wearing all black. There's something about it that makes me feel more put together...more uniform.   When organizing my closet one day, I noticed I had more black shoes, tops and dresses more than anything. Coincidence? Probably not.

This romper was on major sale at LOFT Outlet. Less than 20 dollars! I love the length of it. Can easily be paired with heels or just with my converse. That's how I normally justify pieces when buying them. This romper definitely passes the test of being versatile!

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Maxi Dresses

I am all about dresses and rompers when summer gets here. It gets extremely hot and humid in the beautiful state of Georgia, so dresses are my go-to pieces for summer. I can't complain, though. It's the end of May and I can still deal with being outside. It really has been beautiful.

Maxi dresses are one of my favorites, like this one because it's so light weight and cute and on sale! I got this one at LOFT Outlet. If you're looking for petite dresses, especially maxi dresses, LOFT and LOFT Outlet always have a great selection. I try to look for dresses that can be casual or dressy. This one can do both. I wore my Mules I got from Target that are my absolute favorite right now! I knew as soon as I got them I could pair them with so many pieces in my wardrobe, including this dress!

Hope you guys have a great weekend and Memorial Day tomorrow!

Weekend Wear

If you know me, you know I love heels. Give them to me in any from, I'll more than likely wear them. Being so short (or a nicer word-petite) my whole life has given me a lot of practice in the heel department. These Converse, though, might be my favorite thing right now. I might not be 3 inches taller in these, but I feel like they still complete any outfit I put with them and they're so comfy! So, this was my errand outfit yesterday. When it comes to running errands like the ones I had yesterday, comfort was key! I'm just glad it's warm enough now so I can wear these overalls now. :)

Once again, Cayla Roberts applied her magic to my hair and I've never loved as much as I do now! She is amazing!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Stripes + Plaid

I never want this weather to change. I'll take this all year. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain and I'm so bummed, especially since it seems like it's been raining all the time except for the past few days. With it being so beautiful out, it's time to bring out the spring/summer dresses!

Of course, I chose this Old Navy dress because it was on sale and it's stretchy! Who can say no to that? And sometimes when I don't know what accessory to put with a dress or a top, add another piece of clothing to it, like this plaid button down or a chambray to it. ;)
And if you want to be more comfy and not wear heels or wedges, these converse look cute with dresses, skirts, shorts, skinnies...pretty much anything!

Home Vacay

I have been home in Mississippi since Wednesday and tomorrow I will be heading back Atlanta. So sad, but I'll get to be back with my sweet husband tomorrow. :)

It's been so much fun! My sister is also in town and it's so rare that we're all together. I hate that we all live so far away from each other, (she lives in Minnesota) but it makes me even more grateful when we get to spend time together. Maybe one day we won't live SO far away from each other!

The coast has the best food! It sounds so bad, but whenever I go home, I look forward to eating so many of my favorite things. I have to go to my favorite Chinese restaurant, get a home cooked breakfast from my dad, and eat a shrimp po boy. That's all I want. My trip is considered successful if I get those meals. Sounds pathetic, I know. Just being honest here. :)

Here are a few pictures from the trip so far. A few pictures are of my outfit from my sister's birthday dinner. These jeans in the pictures are my new favorite! Loft petite ankle jeans which means the length is perfect for me. :) short girl problems, remember??

Sunny Days

I don't think I've ever been so excited to see the sun come out! These last 3 days have been beautiful, but especially today! It seems like all we have had for the past month are cloudy skies and rain. Gross. Give me the sun and give me spring! Not summer though...I just want the temperature to stay in the 60's and 70's, please. :)

So, I think I scored another deal at Old Navy. I know you guys are probably so over me going on and on about it, but it's what the majority of my closet is. Anyway, these joggers...10.99! They feel like pajama bottoms. That's a total win in my book. I love joggers paired with heels. I think it gives it a classic look and it makes me look taller because of the higher waist line! So, go to Old Navy and look in the clearance and look for these!

Layers

I actually cannot wait until spring. The other day the real feel was 9 degrees! 9 degrees?! Way too cold for me. If it's gonna be that cold, I want snow! But anyway, today was warm enough to wear layers instead of a jacket. Layering is so much fun, especially when stripes and plaid are involved! And these jeans are the most stretchy, glorious pair that I own. So comfortable and grey. Grey is my favorite. I recently organized my closet by color (thank you, retail) and noticed the majority of my closet was grey and black. I guess that just means more neutrals to play around with! Hope everyone is staying warm and having a great weekend!
