Grey+Black

I admit it. I own a lot of grey and black. It goes with everything! And lately, it has been raining all the time. It's even raining right now as I'm typing this. Not just little showers, we're talking monsoons. Okay, that might have been a little dramatic, but we are having flood warnings, so I was pretty accurate, right? Anyway, the grey and black I'm wearing goes perfectly with this weather (or anytime, really). It actually stopped raining and cleared up for this session! 

This long cardigan is amazing! I love that it actually hits my ankles and isn't a weird, calf length. I got it on sale at Target for 40% off! I bought a couple as gifts for Christmas and one for myself. :) They come in several colors, as well.

So, I came across this website over the past few months, sheinside.com. Amazing prices and cute clothes, but I thought to myself, "what's the catch"? Well, I ordered a few things and fell in love! Great quality and like I said before, such great deals! This dress, for example, was only 10 dollars with free shipping! So cute to wear with leggings, tights or just wear it own its own. Fall Layers

I don't know about you, but I love layering! I love that you can add different pieces from your wardrobe and make an outfit. It makes my wardrobe come alive more! Layering is a must right now since it's pretty cold in the morning and then getting warm towards the afternoon, which is my favorite. Jackets like this one from Lizard Thicket is perfect for this beautiful fall weather we're having. It's not too thick that you can't layer underneath, but you can wear it own its own and stay pretty warm. I'm obsess with it. The color, everything. Definitely going to be on serious rotation this fall.

Cozy Cardigan

It has been so long since I last posted. One of the reasons is because it literally rained for 2 weeks straight. The other reason? Schedule. But that's okay because here's a blog for today and the weather should hopefully keep cooperating so I can do more posts!

Anyway, you guys...this mustard cardigan from Lizard Thicket is the softest piece of clothing I have! Because it doesn't get too cold for a while here, I'll be able to get away with just layering with it and not have to worry about a coat or a jacket. Make a Statement

   I haven't been drawn to necklaces like I had been before. I've just been keeping it simple with earrings or a simple chain, but that's about it. This all changed when I saw this necklace! About a year or so ago, I came across this jewelry site called Bauble Bar and fell in love instantly. It has everything your accessory heart could ever want! I have ordered a couple of things here and there but nothing like this necklace. I've been eyeing this one for a while, and it finally went on MAJOR sale! I snatched it up before it went out of stock and was so proud of myself. Ha! It's currently out on the main Bauble Bar website, but I linked it to Nordstrom where it's unfortunately not on sale. I know it's on the larger side of necklaces that I may have, but that's why I love it! It will definitely be on repeat this fall like this dress will be, especially when it gets cooler and I can wear it with leggings at booties! Come on, Fall!

Stripe Love

    I don't know why, but I always gravitate towards stripes. Black and white stripes to be more specific. It just kind of happens to me when I shop. Even though I have a few black and white tops and dresses in my closet, there's always room for more because each one is different in its own way. Right? 

I got this one I'm wearing from Old Navy. I pretty much had to because it was the first thing I saw AND 10 dollars! I've already worn it a couple of times and it's my favorite. I'm looking forward to layering it for fall! Fall just happens to be my favorite season, but I think I've already mentioned that. ;) 

I thought I would be posting every week, but life happens and things get busy! I really am trying to make this a once a week thing! Thanks to everyone who reads these!!

White Dresses

    A little white dress is just as important to have in your wardrobe along with your little black dress. One important reason? Sometimes it's just too hot to wear black during the summer, which can be hard because I love wearing all black. The struggle is real. This white dress is simple, but I love it because of how much I can do with it. It can be dressy or casual. And it was on sale! Thank you, Old Navy! I paired it with my go to denim vest and flats. It would look super cute with wedges as well.

Kimono

     I never thought I would wear kimonos. I thought they were super cute, but didn't really think I could pull them off. It's all about trying new things and the kimono was new to me. I found my first shorter one at Cotton On. From then, I fell in love! So easy to throw on to dress up an outfit when it's early in the morning and you're stumbling around to get ready for work. Or is that just me? Not a morning person, so the easier, the better when it comes to getting ready. I found this one at Forever 21 and lovvee it! It's definitely one of my favorites right now. It's blue and floral. Enough said. This one is sold out but there are a ton of affordable ones on their website!

Swing Dress

Woah. It definitely feels like summer now which means it's time for wearing dresses mostly for me! This dress is so light weight and comfortable. I would seriously wear it everyday if I could. Pair it with pumps or flats and I am good to go! (These heels are on super sale, by the way!) I bought this dress from Nordstrom, which is a very dangerous place. It. Has. Everything. So many brands and for all sizes and prices. You can look for clothes, jewelry, or shoes and then find something for your house. Like I said, dangerous. :) Go check it out and put so many things in your cart like I do and then just stare at it. I need a another hobby, I guess!

Summer in Minnesota

I just got home yesterday from visiting my sister in Minnesota for a few days! I know I've only been up there during the summer, but I love it there! I know the winter is a completely different story, so I'll just stick with visiting her in the summer. ;) 

While I was there, I snagged this dress from Forever 21. I don't have anything like it in my closet and I love it! I knew I had to get in a blog before I left, so my sister was my photographer for the day! It was so much fun taking pictures by the lake in the woods! It's so beautiful and GREEN in Minnesota. That might sound dumb, but it's a different type of green...trust me. :)

Black Out

I'm all about pops of color and pattern mixing, but I also love wearing all black. There's something about it that makes me feel more put together...more uniform.   When organizing my closet one day, I noticed I had more black shoes, tops and dresses more than anything. Coincidence? Probably not.

This romper was on major sale at LOFT Outlet. Less than 20 dollars! I love the length of it. Can easily be paired with heels or just with my converse. That's how I normally justify pieces when buying them. This romper definitely passes the test of being versatile!
